LiveCode 4.6 from RunRev Brings More Than 20 New Features to iOS Deployment [Watch Video]
EDINBURGH – March 22, 2011 – RunRev Ltd today unveiled a new set of enhancements and features to its innovative LiveCode development platform, with LiveCode 4.6 for iOS and desktop reflecting the broad interest and strong demand for developing apps. The App store generated $1.7Billion in revenue last year and the new iPad 2 is expected to add to the appetite for intense, creative and engaging apps that are easy to build and deploy. • Improvements to native web browser control and native control functions
• Full screen video playback and support for native playback within a region
• Multi-channel sound improvements, including pause/resume and prepare ability
• Support for iOS 4.3 simulator
• Multiple camera support
• Dozens of bug fixes and minor enhancements
LiveCode 4.6 has more than a dozen developer-requested refinements to the desktop product, including:
• Support for working with very large images on Mac OS X
• Ability to render objects with and without graphic effects and blending
• Public key encryption support and Cryptographic-quality random data generation
• Improvements to print to pdf, with document outline and link inclusion
• Bug fixes and minor enhancements
