Last week Kevin Miller and Ben Beaumont show cased LiveCode at AnDevCon in San Francisco. Kevin told me he was delighted to be able to turn heads and excite programmers in this heartland of Java developers.

Everyone at AnDevCon was really impressed with how simple LiveCode is compared with Java and were keen to hear about the cross platform development opportunities LiveCode could give them. Conference attendees were impressed with the power of LiveCode and loved playing with the sample 'made with LiveCode' apps we showed off at the conference.

The LiveCode Game Academy, announced at the conference, was a huge hit and everyone was blown away (pun intended) by what this revolutionary new way to learn about app development. The Academy is the perfect way for the typical Java Developer to quickly pick up LiveCode development. Lots of the conference attendees signed up and we can't wait for December 6th when we can start showing them how to make their own LiveCode built games and apps.
The best thing about the Academy was being able to meet customers, both new and existing. Kevin and Ben were delighted when Mark Weider and Dave Simpson, both cornerstones of the LiveCode community, popped by to say hi. Thanks to Dave Simpson for taking the photos for us. Conferences are always a great opportunity to meet developers, get your feedback and found out what you want out of LiveCode - so you can be sure that RunRev will be staying out and about on the conference beat for a long time to come.
