Newsletter First Anniversary

by Heather Nagey

Yes, amazing, but true. We have been publishing this newsletter for a whole year. That's 28 issues, and well over 100 articles brought to you, packed with information, advice and gossip from the Revolution community.

When we started, we thought we would have to closely monitor whether there were enough articles and information to support a bi-weekly frequency, but we took the plunge and agreed that if it didn't work out, we could always drop to monthly...

Thanks to all the great contributors out there this has not been necessary. Indeed as time goes by and more and more people contribute, we have articles queued and waiting for a slot.

Its been a rewarding experience, especially when we see newsletter articles being referred to in outside venues such as the forums. We keep a close eye on the feedback and try to provide articles of interest to as many of you as possible. The technical articles are always popular, some of the most visited being Mark Waddingham's Externals series, Jacqueline Landman Gay's excellent CGI tutorials, and the more recent Filemaker articles by Bill Marriott (look for his next article in the next issue).

We are planning to enhance your Newsletter experience shortly with the addition of "Digg", so you can easily Digg your favourite articles. If you have other suggestions you'd like us to implement to make your reading experience even more enjoyable please do let us know.

We try to strike a balance between technical content and general information. Our editorial mission is to inform about and promote all aspects of Revolution and the community. We welcome all your feedback, which should be sent to editor@runrev.com. Do you have an interesting project you'd like to tell us about? Have you got specialist knowledge you could share with the community? We'd love to hear from you.
