NativeDoc Navigator
NativeDoc 2.0 brings you the ability to effortlessly navigate your code documentation

by Damien Girard

I am pleased to announce the release of NativeDoc 2.0! This new version contains an incredible new feature: The Dictionary Navigator.

The Dictionary Navigator enables you to browse/search/navigate through your source code documentation instantly within the LiveCode IDE.

What is NativeDocâ„¢?
NativeDoc is a documentation system for LiveCode. This handy addon allows you to generate an HTML API reference manual from a set of documented scripts. The documentation is extracted directly from the scripts, which makes it much easier to keep the documentation consistent with the source code. NativeDoc uses the standard Doxygen/JavaDoc documentation block style, so iif you are familiar with this system you won't need to re-learn a new code documentation style.

2.0 - The Dictionary Navigator
This new tool helps you boost your productivity and elimitates the need to maintain lots of complex unreadable text files. With the Navigator, you write your code, include the Doxygen/JavaDoc documentation header for the function then simply view it in the Dictionary Navigator. NativeDoc 2.0 helps you to re-use your functions, encourages you to develop large applications without the risk of confusion and encourages you to work together as a team. If you have more than one programmer working on a project, use NativeDoc to share information about the code easily.

Import/Export documentation
NativeDoc 2.0 enables you to import external NativeDoc XML documentation files. With this importation feature, users now will be able to open your library documentation and browse it easily.
In addition, users are not required to have a NativeDoc license to import documentation. They can import external documentation without any limits.

You can download the NativeGeometry 2.1 API in the download section of NativeGeometry on NativeSoft website.

"I really like the dictionary navigator. It makes me want to document even more of my code since it makes the docs so accessible. Well done."~Trevor DeVore, Blue Mango Learning Systems
