The Universal Binary programming contest with the grand prize of a new
Intel-based Mac Mini, co-sponsored by Future Publishing MacFormat and
Runtime Revolution - is over! And the winner is...
Wait! Are all the judges on vacation? No, they are in fact enjoying the
selection of universal binary applications made with Runtime Revolution! Now
that Apple Computer has fully transitioned the MacOS X based product line to
Intel Macs its more important than ever to be able to deliver applications
that run natively on these new machines. Older applications under Rosetta
sometimes run well - sometimes do not.
The titles are in for the contest, and the contestants are rubbing their
hands in anticipation of getting the grand-prize, a new Mac Mini. But the
judges have decided to prolong the anticipation! Kevin Miller, CEO of
Runtime Revolution Ltd during his keynote speech at the European Revolution
Conference on November 3 will announce and present the grand prize winner of
contest. The European Revolution Conference takes place in beautiful, warm
Malta. However, contest winners do not have to be in attendance to win. You
also don't need to be European to attend: Malta is a wonderful excursion for
Americans looking for a warm getaway in November!
The competition for grand prize was fierce and interest in the contest
(judging from emails from participants and lookers on) means that Runtime
Revolution will introduce some regular programming contests very soon -
watch the newsletter, forums and RevDeveloper.com for more information!
Runtime Revolution will announce the first in a series of short, fun and
highly competitive contests by the next newsletter.
