This release of LiveCode brings near feature parity on Android and iOS. Build your app for one mobile platform, and just run it on the other without worrying if the features you used will be supported. Plus the Field object has been substantially reworked to make beautifully formatted text a joy to create, even when you are using unicode.
New Field Features
LiveCode 5.5 brings you paragraph styles, allowing you to control formatting on a per paragraph basis, new powerful options for accessing and formatting text, a textChanged message allowing you to respond to any user action in a field, a scriptable spelling underline, hierarchical lists, the ability to embed tables and much more! You'll be able to create even more sophisticated, professional looking applications with this set of amazing new features. Important: The file format in this release has changed to allow us to better support the new field and unicode features. This means that if you wish to retain compatiblity with older versions of LiveCode, you must save your projects by choosing "Save As... legacy format" in the File/save menu.
