You already know that Rev is the most flexible, powerful, cross platform solution for rapid development out there. RunRev are delighted to announce that later in 2010, Rev will be going mobile!

We will be introducing a brand new product, revMobile, which will initially support Maemo, Windows Mobile, the iPhone and iPad.

revMobile will be the fastest way to develop mobile applications. It will be a cross-device product, so you will be able to use the same code to deploy to multiple mobile platforms. Even better, you'll be able to use revTalk rather than Objective-C or Visual Studio. revTalk is a robust and efficient language based on English. Rev will empower you to be up to 10x more productive when developing mobile apps than with traditional languages.

Tens of thousands of Rev customers already enjoy the productivity and ease-of-use benefits that Rev brings them when developing solutions and applications. revMobile adds another vital deployment option to the Rev platform. Rev and the revTalk language can now be used to deploy on the desktop on Windows, Mac and Linux, popular Web browsers on all three platforms, the server and now mobile devices. Its the same language for all these environments and devices.

revMobile will be a brand new product in the Rev range, with its own development environment. You'll be able to take your existing Rev stacks (e.g. your desktop applications) or libraries and run them in revMobile. Of course you may need to change the layout and rework them to take advantage of mobile specific features.

You are invited to participate in the pre-release program. revMobile is currently available to pre-order. The first pre-alpha test release for Windows Mobile and the iPhone is available today, with other platforms and updates becoming available over the next few months.

Pre-release program participation is available today for $799 and this includes access to all pre-release versions as they become available, together with the shipping version.
