Are updates included with my new purchase?
All new purchases come with a 3 month grace period during which you will receive any updates we release. After that, to obtain updates to Revolution Studio or Enterprise you need to purchase an update pack which is valid for a year from the date of purchase.
What is an "update pack"?
An update pack lasts for a year, and entitles you to all new releases of Revolution within that year, including major and minor releases as well as bug fixes.
What is the cheapest way to buy my update pack?
If you buy your update pack with your initial license for Revolution you will receive a substantial discount. Buying an "early update pack" within a year of your last purchase will also get you a discount. Letting your license lapse and then buying an update pack is the most expensive way to do it, although this is still cheaper than buying a new license for Revolution.
What is an "early update pack"?
This is a discounted license that gives you all new releases of Revolution for a year from the date of expiry of your last purchase. You are only eligible to buy this license if your previous license purchase was less than a year ago. So, if you already have a license which is good for new releases until July 1st, 2008, and you buy an early update pack on March 1st, 2008, your new license entitlement will run until July 1st, 2009.
When my update pack expires, will my license for Revolution stop working?
No. All that expires is your entitlement to updates. You will always be able to unlock the last version of Revolution that your license was valid for.
I've lost my unlock code, what should I do?
Please go here. You will be able to enter your email address and request that your current code be resent to you automatically.
The software won't accept my license code, what's the problem?
Check that your code is valid for the version and edition you are trying to unlock. A code for Revolution Studio will not unlock Revolution Enterprise so make sure you have downloaded the correct edition. Ensure that Revolution has read/write permission. Check that you entered the code correctly. If you still have a problem please contact us.
Am I eligible for an educational discount and how do I get it?
If you have a .edu (or local equivalent) email address you are eligible for a 30% discount on single user licenses of Revolution Studio and Revolution Enterprise. To receive your discount please email us with proof of your academic status.
We also provide a selection of highly discounted academic Revolution Studio multi license packs, intended for use in the classroom. You can find these in our store, if you don't see the specific pack you need, just enter the number of licenses you want to purchase in the box provided.
