RunRevLive.12 Update Why do people go to live conferences? Of course, we go to learn, and share knowledge, but could this not be done at home, via our ever expanding plethora of communication devices?
I think that the value we gain from actually being present and talking with live human beings is immesurably greater than electronic interaction. Being able to chat over dinner with a group of experts, scribble notes on paper, cross pollinate ideas and explain concepts in person will always be better than struggling to explain yourself over skype. With RunRevLive.12, we've introduced a new pre-booking system which will allow you to sit down with one of our engineers and discuss whatever knotty LiveCode problems you may have. Solve problems and exchange ideas on perhaps new ways to use LiveCode you haven't thought of yourself. We're also signing up a range of fascinating speakers, both familiar faces and presenters new to RunRevLive. I can't wait to hear what they have to say. Check out our schedule, here.
You can also expect the full Beginners Day track on day 1, we'll let you know more details about this shortly, but I do know that this will focus around creating business applications this year. As always, we'll talk you through the basics, and get you into some down and dirty hands on coding. Next week, Jo Hernandez, conference organizer extraordinaire, is flying out to Atlantic City to check out for herself the venue, location and surrounding area. She will be planning the traditional evening entertainment event and will let us all know when she gets back what the area has to offer besides the most important conference of the year. Stay tuned for her report! If you haven't got your ticket yet, you can book it here.
