Spreading the word at this prestigious World Wide Web conference.

The International World Wide Web Conferences Steering Committee (IW3C2), has selected Kevin Miller, Runtime Revolution President and CEO, to present at this year's International World Wide Web Conference in Madrid, Spain. Miller gives his presentation tomorrow, April 22, on the topic of attracting content experts to the Web with an easy-to-use scripting language.

The conference began in 1994 and is attended by key influencers, decision makers, technologists, businesses, and standards bodies. Its attendee list reads like a Whos Who of the worldwide Web.

"Revolution's structure makes it an ideal tool for subject-matter experts who want
to produce applications but do not wish to get side-tracked by program
development difficulties," Miller will tell the audience as he formally introduces the Revolution Web strategy.

Miller will give Web luminaries a tour of the Revolution language and its hallmark ease of use, including plain syntax and powerful chunk expressions. Then he will showcase the upcoming Revolution Web plugin (which enables stacks to be embedded on web pages) and describe the powerful new server scripting engine introduced with the On-Rev Server hosting service.

Key points of Miller's speech:

  • The Web still needs an easy-to use scripting language like Revolution
  • The Revolution Web plugin is easier to learn and more affordable than other rich-media plugin technologies (such as Flash)
  • The Revolution Server technology uses the same language as the desktop and Web plugin editions, meaning Revolution uniquely allows peope to use one single language to produce desktop applications, web applications and server applications.

The Web strategy, Miller said, will be rolling out to testers over the summer, with the official launch scheduled for September 2009 during Revolution's own developer conference, RunRevLive.09.

Early registration to RunRevLive.09 is now open to all, with discounts of over 40% Visit http://runrevlive.com/09/index.htm for more information.
