How eagerly are you looking forward to kickoff? We're very excited indeed! I'm really looking forward to my webinar at the end of the course, where I will be sharing our vision for the future of LiveCode with you. Summer School is a one stop shop if you've ever had an idea for an app but don't know where to start. It's time to put the myth to rest that creating an app is hard, so in just 6 weeks, we will take you through the step by step process of app creation in the form of webinars with our experienced LiveCode team. Aside from this, we have also included a bunch of relevant plugins, resources, and 1 to 1 time just to name a few.

Elanor Buchanan, Lead Tutor
This is such a great opportunity so I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and of course, seeing what your apps will look like at the end of Summer School. We've been very busy preparing for the Summer School, constructing the sample app we'll be creating together, thinking about what useful LiveCode features to show and how best to use them within an app. Right now I'm putting the finishing touches to the session on Database Use. We've been planning, scripting and practising the sessions and getting all the materials prepared. We are really looking forward to seeing the range and variety of apps that the Summer School attendees come up with in September.

Ben Beaumont - LiveCode Product Manager
Ben is enjoying a well earned holiday this week, which we are sure will bring him back refreshed and ready to pitch in to Summer School. He loves UI, design and snazzy graphics, and knows how to project manage apps to a successful conclusion. Ben will be leading your session on App Design, in week 2.

I've been working with Elanor on the core content for the summer school online webinars. I will be kicking off these webinars on Monday with a pre lesson on helping users setup and prepare their systems for LiveCode development. I can't wait! Its going to be a fantastic webinar series and what we have planned should appeal to hobbyists and pros alike. We will have 8 webinars over the 6 weeks of the summer academy. These will cover elements such as an introduction to Livecode, database implementation, multimedia integration, web services and much much more.

Heather Laine - Customer Services Manager
I've been busy answering all your questions in the lead up to Summer School. In case you haven't got around to asking yet... We'll be sending out invitations to the first webinar by email today, if you don't get yours please let us know. We kick off at 5pm, UK time, which is 11am EST, 9am US Pacific Time or 2am in Sydney, Australia. But don't worry, we'll be recording every session and posting it online as soon as possible after it has been held. If you miss a session you should be able to catch up before the next one!

David Williams - Technical Support
I'll be on hand in the Summer School forum, to assist you with any queries you may have, especially in regard to servers and the cloud. If you need help with installing LiveCode Server or using it to power your webpages, I'm your man! I'm really looking forward to seeing what interesting and creative uses you have for LiveCode Server in your apps.
