Revolution sheds its skin for growth

Over the last year or so, Runtime has grown faster than our office space. In fact, the rooms seemed to be shrinking, as more and more programmers and designers were crammed in. For some time we have been looking for somewhere to move to, where a programmer can stretch a weary arm without poking someone in the eye, and at last we have found, outfitted and moved to the perfect place.

We are still centrally located in beautiful Edinburgh, in an atmospheric cobbled lane running parallel with Princes Street. For your reference, our new address is

We now have three floors of space, all to ourselves, with our own front door.

This also means we no longer share a receptionist with other businesses. If you call us now, you will notice you get through direct to one of our staff, who can route you on to the person you are looking for.

I don't know if you've noticed this, but working with technology seems to lead to a spiders web of cables under, behind, and sprawling over your desk. We had a chronic problem with a lack of power points, poor cabling and not enough ethernet sockets in our previous premises. We have fitted out our new offices with more sockets per desk and far better network facilities, plus a dedicated meeting room.

As anyone who has ever moved will know, a certain amount of disruption is inevitable, with essential items mystically disappearing, cables magically tangling into rats nests in boxes even when coiled in ever so carefully, new phones and networks needing configured and all the one hundred and one little items that need to be attended to, but already we are settling in, stretching our legs and getting used to our new home.

All in all, we're delighted with the move, and look forward to being able to serve you better and continuing to grow in the future!
