Turing Festival
"Everyone can Create Apps", Kevin Millar, CEO, Run Rev speaking at the Interactive Scotland @ Turing Festival 2012 from Interactive Scotland on Vimeo. Everyone knows that the Edinburgh festival is the largest festival of the arts in the world and has been running for over 60 years. The Turing Festival is a recent addition to the Edinburgh Festival and is the technology component to this internationally renowned festival. The Festival ran over 3 days and included everything from Steve Wozniak - who is a testament to technology as an art form - in a mock interview session which gave him the chance to tell amusing stories, to Mr Higgs himself talking about his use of technology at CERN. Whilst this was a bit of fun Kevin used this opportunity to state his commitment to LiveCode in Education as the ideal way to teach students how to program computers and develop their own software apps. He was delighted that many of the students from schools in Edinburgh, who are using LiveCode, were able to join him at the festival to experience the wonder of technology and see first hand the art of the possible.
