Made With LiveCode
Don't be shy, if you've got it let us help you flaunt it!

by Heather Nagey

In these days of social networking and all pervasive instant information about everything under the sun, we've been considering how we at RunRev can help you to promote your LiveCode built Apps.

Tweetme
As you are probably aware we have a lively twitter feed here at RunRev, and we're always happy to use it to the benefit of the LiveCode community. If you've just released an App, for iOS, Android or a desktop platform, we'd love to hear about it, and tell the world! Just drop us a line with "tweetme" in the subject, and we'll put it on our twitter feed. Remember, tweets can only be 140 characters, and you should include a link to your App.

Some tips about links. It can be baffling to figure out how to extract the link to your app from the iTunes store. I recently discovered how this is done. Duh. Right click on the app icon and choose "copy link". Probably you knew that already, but if you didn't, now you do.

You can also create tiny urls here so you don't use up your valuable characters on just posting Facebookyour link.

We also have a Facebook page. Come along and friend us, tell us about your app on our wall. This page is a community page for everyone, so you can post links, ad photos and videos, tell us about your product, your development story or your current offers.

Sponsorship
Occasionally, something comes along that seems to be worthy of sponsorship. We won't always say yes - but if you've got a deserving project with a strong LiveCode basis, by all means ask! Right now, we're sponsoring Heckerty.

We'd love LiveCode to bring this green-faced witch to the iPhone and iPad, for new generations of kids to enjoy. What do you think? A worthy cause? We think so, and we're sponsoring to the tune of $200. This means that we get a collectible, numbered and bound limited edition of original stories with a bookplate signed by Ann Rachlin and Heckerty. Much though we'd love to keep this excellent item, we're going to give some lucky LiveCoder the chance to win it.

So, if Heckerty gets the amount she needs to proceed with this project, we'll hold a prize draw and include everyone who has sent a ‘tweetme’ or told us about their Built with LiveCode app and posted on our Facebook wall. Get those tweets ready and you could own a part of children’s apps history!

Major Projects
Maybe you've made something big. Something you really want to shout about. You think it's worth an article, or a press release, or even a case study on our website. Please do get in touch! We love hearing your stories. We are always happy to receive newsletter articles, and if you have something really interesting we can consider a joint PR. If your project covers an aspect of LiveCode that we'd like to illustrate with a case study, we'll do an indepth interview with you and you could join our existing case studies here.
