Conference Highlights As the conference draws near, we've
confirmed speakers and sessions. Be sure to check the RunRevLive.09 site for
details. Some highlights of this year's sessions:
- Mark Waddingham outlines the all-new externals API, which for the
first time enables exchange of binary data, as well as multi-dimensional
arrays. Additionally, the API enables passing ot pointers to data,
dramatically reducing memory footprint and increasing execution speed
because data no longer needs to be moved to external processes. This new
API dramatically expands the possibilities for extending Revolution
functionality.
- Trevor DeVore, author of the data grid in Rev 3.5, gives an in-depth
look at behaviors and custom controls. And he should know! The data grid
is one of the most sophisticated custom controls released for Rev to
date, and makes extensive use of Behaviors. And don't miss his session
on advanced techniques for the data grid itself!
- Andre Garcia shows a soup-to-nuts example of a commerce
solution: an e-store you can take home, customize, and use for your own
sites.
- Learn how to build a Web-based game with Malte Brille, author of two
of our most popular revSelect add-ons, chartsEngine and animationEngine.
It really doesn't matter how you get here - come by plane, boat, train, or through your browser —
Just
