Rev Everywhere: RunRevLive 2010 in San Jose
Featuring revMobile, pre-registration for RunRevLive.10 is now open

by Kevin Miller

Every year, our developer conferences grow larger, more exciting, and more useful for your everyday programming challenges. They are an opportunity for us to showcase new technologies, demonstrate the power of our platform, and most importantly, get to know our community.

I’m pleased to announce not only that we will be holding RunRevLive.10 in the heart of Silicon Valley, but also that the theme of that conference will be Rev going mobile. RunRevLive.10 will be held in the Dolce Hayes Mansion, in San Jose, California, on November 2-5th 2010.

As demonstrated to our “Day Plus” non- disclosure participants in Edinburgh last year, we will release a new product that enables you to ship solutions running on Windows Mobile, Maemo (a mobile version of Linux used by Nokia), and even the iPhone.

We’ll be fully realizing the vision of “write once, deploy everywhere.” You need to be there to see how rapidly you can build rich applications for multiple platforms using the language you know and love, revTalk.

What's on offer
The four days of this exciting conference will be split as follows:

* Day Zero
Our ever popular training day. This year, we will have three tracks. Track one will be for complete Rev novices, and cover the basics. Syntax, grammar, message path, how to layout your interface, add some interaction, spice it up with multimedia, interact with the outside world and build a standalone application. Come to this course with no programming experience, and leave with a complete working application.

Track two will be aimed at the more advanced revUser. It will cover new features in our core products, how to get the best out of revServer, the ins and outs of revWeb, aspects of Rev that as a longstanding revUser you might not yet have got a full grasp on.

Track three will be for outside speakers. Once again, we'll select the best and most interesting applications to demonstrate the many facets of Rev, from experienced and exciting speakers.

* Day One
Keynote by Kevin Miller, CEO. This years keynote was widely selected as being the most interesting and exciting session of the conference. 2010 will be even better! The focus of day one will be on revMobile. Demos of how to use it, what platforms it will support out of the box, sessions on brand new applications created using it. This exciting new product will be a brand new aspect of the Rev line-up, and we'll have lots to show you!

* Day Two
Rev on the desktop, the web and revServer are all essential aspects of the Rev Everywhere concept. We'll bring you the latest new features, walkthroughs and cool applications focussed on each of these areas.

* Day Plus
We know some people come just for this. The NDA day, where you can get a sneak peek ahead, at what we have planned for the coming year.

The venue
We've picked a great venue. Conveniently located in the heart of Silicon Valley (with its pleasant climate), the Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose is not only an outstanding conference venue, but a luxury hotel as well. They have ample accommodations, as well as 6 acres of grounds, spa and gym & golf facilities. The airport is just 15 minutes away, San Francisco is just an hour away on the Cal-Train (for a mere $7) and the train station is minutes walk from the Mansion.

"Once a lavish private estate, the Hayes Mansion stands as one of the South Bay's most impressive and distinctive historical structures. Surrounded by lush, emerald green lawns, accented with gardens of vibrant, colorful flowers and guarded by towering palm trees, the 100- year old estate has been refurbished, upgraded and transformed into a luxurious hotel, conference center, resort and spa. Steeped in tradition and rich in history, the mansion provides visitors with an extraordinary experience."

Your conference plus hotel purchase will include 4 nights accommodation at this luxury venue, plus breakfast. Lunch and coffee breaks are provided as part of your ticket.
